OVERVIEW - IBL Bulk Liquids

IBL Bulk Liquids provides services and facilities for the handling and storage of bulk liquids.

Our operations are based in the city of Hull and are located at two sites on the River Hull and one situated in the Port of Hull. The total site area occupied is some eight acres. Hull is perfectly located for all North European import and export shipping and continental deep-sea transhipment ports and has excellent connections to the UK road and rail networks.

The Hull facilities comprise some 120 storage tanks, with individual sizes ranging from 50 to 1,700 cubic metres and a total capacity of around 34,500 cubic metres. In order to meet a wide range of product requirements, certain mild steel tanks have internal coatings, and many are fitted with insulation and steam heating coils whilst others are constructed of stainless steel. This enables the company to handle aggressive and sensitive materials. In addition to handling facilities for road tankers and tank containers, each of the sites has berthing for ships and barges, with larger vessels up to 7,000 tonnes deadweight being accommodated at the Port of Hull site.

Various ancillary services are provided, including laboratory facilities, blending and mixing, drumming and canning, steam heating, , an enclosed wash bay for the cleaning of food-grade road tankers and tank containers and a public weighbridge . The company also operates a warehouse to provide storage facilities for palletised goods

IBL Bulk Liquids has an established customer base in the edible oil and chemical industries, including a number of multinational groups.

The management team has combined competency in hydrocarbons, pharmaceuticals, the storage and handling of organic and non-organic chemicals and food-grade materials, and chemical and mechanical engineering. Thus we can provide expert advice and guidance in all aspects of bulk liquid storage and handling.

Our Achievements

• Accreditation to ISO 9001:2008 by BVQI, the scope of which is to "receive, store, process, blend, manage, package and dispatch our customers' products in accordance with their or the company's procedures and specifications". 
• Approval by FEMAS for the blending and storage of animal feed products.
• Construction of a new bulk liquids deep-water installation in the Hull enclosed docks in 1995, with further phased development up to 2008.
• Design, build, commission and manage customer-specific plant and equipment.
• Being of service to a number of prestigious customers over many years.
